"The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself."

Brian and Andrea Part Two November 29, 2009

I was so excited about the incredible pictures from Brian and Andrea’s photo shoot that I stayed up late and woke up early to do some edits.  The full photo gallery is posted here. Brian and Andrea, I wish you all the best for your special day in June.  Thank you for putting up with my (MANY) awkward requests. I think the results speak for themselves.

Today I had the privilege of meeting another lovely couple.  Brian and Andrea asked me to shoot their engagement photos in Stillwater.  They also wanted to include their six year old yellow lab, Haley.  Haley was perhaps the most excited to have her picture taken.  Because I know it is SO hard to wait for sneak peeks of pictures from a fun photo shoot, I had to post a few to share with Brian and Andrea.  I hope you two like what you see so far.  Even after spending only a couple hours with these two, I could really sense the love shared between them, and the utter joy they have when they are in the company of each other and Haley.

One of the strange things about living in the world is that it is only now and then one is quite sure one is going to live forever and ever and ever.

One knows it sometimes when one gets up at the tender solemn dawn-time and goes out and stands alone and throws one’s head far back and looks up and up and watches the pale sky slowly changing and flushing and marvelous unknown things happening until the East almost makes one cry out and one’s heart stands still at the strange unchanging majesty of the rising of the sun—which has been happening every morning for thousands and thousands and thousands of years.

One knows it then for a moment or so…And it was like that with Colin when he first saw and heard and felt the Springtime inside the four high walls of a hidden garden.

That afternoon the whole world seemed to devote itself to being perfect and radiantly beautiful and kind to one boy.

Perhaps out of pure heavenly goodness the spring came and crowned everything it possibly could into that one place.

Alone we can do so little.

Together we can do so much.

Sweet Baby Isaac November 23, 2009

To show off Isaac to the world, I have a few more shots from our session at the Minnesota Zoo. Isaac’s personality, zest for life and love of animals became near and dear to my heart.  All of the shots posted are Isaac’s take on the animal kingdom.  Behind the camera it was a joy to watch Isaac’s parents as they lovingly and proudly enjoyed some special time with their son. Don’t worry Dawn, next time I will capture you too:-) See the full photo shoot here.
